Auto’s Voor Liefhebbers, interessante nieuwkomer

Auto’s voor Liefhebbers is een relatieve nieuwkomer in de Nederlandse klassiekerwereld. Eigenaar Ruben Kragten is een gepassioneerd liefhebber van bijzondere auto’s, van oldtimers tot youngtimers. Maar ook moderne auto’s behoren tot het aanbod, alles met het uitgangspunt “Auto’s zijn emotie”.

Het bedrijf speurt continue naar bijzondere auto’s, auto’s met een verhaal die de juiste snaar raken. Daarnaast kan men je begeleiden bij het aankopen en verkopen van je dierbare bezit.

Welk aanbod we op de beurs kunnen verwachten onder voorbehoud van verkoop en “change of plans”? Denk aan een Triumph TR250 (TR5), Rolls Royce Silver Cloud Series 3, BMW 323i E21, Maserati Quattroporte en een Ferrari 308 GTS QV….

Porsche Centre Amsterdam

We previously announced Porsche Centre Amsterdam as an exhibitor at Capital Cars & Classics, now fair is getting closer and closer we were curious about what cars we can expect on the show floor, so we visited the impressive showroom in Amsterdam Southeast. However, before writing about the beautiful Porsches some interesting facts.

For example, did you know that the property in Amsterdam is one of the largest showrooms in Europe? To purchase a new or used Porsche you can safely trust on them, the team of 35 specialists together with owner/director Hans van der Valk contains many decennia of experience with the prestigious German brand. On the ground floor you will find the latest range, for example we stood in front of the rare 911 GT3 RS.

Upstairs you will find the only Porsche Exclusive Flagship Store in the Netherlands where you will find a wide range of Porsche merchandise, apparel and accessories. In addition, you will find the Porsche Approved offer up on the first floor, we noticed a number of iconic classics such as a 993 Carrera 4S in 1997, a 993 with circuit experience, an early 911 from the private collection and a 911 GT3 RS 4.0 from 2011. the first and the last cars we will probably see in the Kromhouthal on the 23rd and 24th april.

Al eerder kondigden wij de komst van Porsche Centrum Amsterdam op Capital Cars & Classics aan, nu de beurs dichterbij komt waren we natuurlijk benieuwd welke auto’s we op de beursvloer mogen verwachten en dus brachten we een bezoek aan de imposante showroom in Amsterdam Zuidoost. Echter voordat we op de fraaie Porsches ingaan een aantal interessante wetenswaardigheden.

Wist jij bijvoorbeeld dat het pand in Amsterdam één van de grootste Porsche-showrooms van Europa is? Voor de aankoop van een nieuwe of gebruikte Porsche kan je gerust bij ze aankloppen, het team van 35 specialisten onder leiding van eigenaar/directeur Hans van der Valk heeft in de meeste gevallen al vele generaties van het aansprekende Duitse merk voorbij zien komen. Op de benedenverdieping tref je het nieuwste aanbod aan, zo stonden wij ook in oog met de zeldzame 911 GT3 RS.

Boven vind je de enige Porsche Exclusive Flagshipstore van Nederland waar je een breed assortiment aan Porsche merchandise, kleding en accessoires aantreft. Daarnaast is het Porsche Approved aanbod opgesteld op de eerste etage waar ons viel oog op een aantal iconische klassiekers zoals een 993 Carrera 4S uit 1997, een 993 die de circuits onveilig heeft gemaakt, een vroege 911 uit de privé-collectie en een 911 GT3 RS 4.0 uit 2011. De eerste en de laatste zien we waarschijnlijk terug in de Kromhouthal op 23 en 24 april aanstaande, de derde Porsche blijft nog even een verrassing.

Bonhams steals the show with Ferrari 275 GT Spyder

The auction house Bonhams is one of the world’s largest auction houses when it comes to collectables, in the field of classic cars they are one of the top players on the world stage. Their presence on Capital Cars & Classics will not be unnoticed, this week they announced to show a Ferrari 275 GT Spyder at the exhibition, one of the most elegant Ferrari’s ever made!

The Ferrari 275 GT Spyder was produced between 1964 and 1966 and was part of a whole new generation of Ferrari’s where the rough edges gradually gave way to more luxury. So you will find in the interior spacious comfortable seats and a dashboard with wood veneer.

Incidentally, the 275 has lost none of its charm such as Car & Driver magazine so beautifully expressed; ‘Since the engine is heir to a V12 tradition that’s gone on for almost twenty years, it’s only natural that it should be the dominating factor in the car’s personality, and that the whole car should have been developed around the engine and its own unique character. You can feel it as much as you can hear it. It has a taut, powerful rush of response that comes to you through the seat of your pants, through the steering wheel rim. The instant the clutch is engaged, the chassis takes on life and begins to move as a unit with the engine, it’s an all-in-one-piece sensation that you normally feel only in racing cars, one that’s unique to the Ferrari among normal passenger vehicles today.’

Only 200 copies would the Ferrari 275 GT Spyder were built with a 3.3 liter V12 under the hood delivering 260 hp.

Ferrari 275 GT Spyder with VIN ‘07521’

This Ferrari 275 GT Spyder with VIN “07 521” has been shipped from Italy on September 22nd 1965 in the US as evidenced by the invoice from the American Ferrari importer Luigi Chinetti in New York. The original color was white with a black interior.

The first owner is unknown, in 1978/1979 the car was registered with the Ferrari Owners Club USA by Richard Mills of Bedford. In 1986 the Ferrari appears in an ad with a yellow paint. In 1988, the car is owned by a Swiss who took the 275 GT Spyder to the current color scheme. Then the car was owned by Bouwe Brandsma, a Dutch-sounding name. He would be the second last owner before the Ferrari on May 13 in Monaco rides on the stage to be auctioned during “The Monaco Sale, Les Grandes Marques à Monaco”.

The last owner of the car extensively restored it between 2013 and 2015, which is well documented, it also features a “Ferrari Certificazione di autenticità”. The car then has received numerous awards which says a lot about the quality. The expected yield is between € 1,500,000 and € 2,000,000.

Het veilinghuis Bonhams is één van ’s werelds grootste veilinghuizen als het gaat om collectables, ook op het gebied van klassieke auto’s is men een topspeler op het wereldtoneel. Hun aanwezigheid op Capital Cars & Classics zal dan ook niet ongemerkt voorbij gaan, men heeft namelijk deze week bekend gemaakt een Ferrari 275 Gt Spyder op de beursvloer te tonen, één van de meeste elegante Ferrari’s ooit gemaakt!

De Ferrari 275 GT Spyder is geproduceerd tussen 1964 en 1966 en maakte onderdeel uit van een gehele nieuwe generatie Ferrari’s waarbij de ruige kantjes langzaamaan plaats maakten voor meer luxe. Zo tref je in het interieur ruime comfortabele stoelen aan en een dashboard met houtfineer.

Overigens verloor de 275 niets van zijn sportieve charme zoals Car & Driver magazine zo mooi verwoorde; ‘Since the engine is heir to a V12 tradition that’s gone on for almost twenty years, it’s only natural that it should be the dominating factor in the car’s personality, and that the whole car should have been developed around the engine and its own unique character. Slechts 200 exemplaren zouden er van de Ferrari 275 GT Spyder gebouwd worden met een 3.3 liter V12 in het vooronder die een respectabele 260pk leverde.

Ferrari 275 GT Spyder met chassisnummer ‘07521’

Deze Ferrari 275 GT Spyder met chassisnummer ‘07521’ is op 22 september 1965 vanuit Italië verscheept naar de USA wat blijkt uit de rekening op naam van de Amerikaanse Ferrari importeur Luigi Chinetti in New York. De originele kleurstelling was wit met een zwart interieur.

De eerste berijder is onbekend, in 1978/1979 werd de auto geregistreerd bij de Ferrari Owners Club USA door ene Richard Mills uit Bedford. In 1986 duikt de Ferrari op in een advertentie met een gele laklaag. In 1988 komt de auto in handen van een Zwitser die de 275 GT Spyder naar de huidige kleurstelling bracht. Daarna kwam de auto in bezit van Bouwe Brandsma (een Nederlander?). Hij zou de één na laatste eigenaar zijn voordat de Ferrari op 13 mei in Monaco het podium op rijdt om geveild te worden tijdens “The Monaco Sale, Les Grandes Marques à Monaco”.

De laatste eigenaar heeft de auto uitvoerig gerestaureerd tussen 2013 en 2015 wat goed gedocumenteerd is, ook beschikt deze over een “Ferrari Certificazione di Autenticita”. Dat de auto daarna meerdere prijzen heeft ontvangen zegt genoeg over de kwaliteit. De verwachte opbrengst ligt tussen de € 1.500.000 en € 2.000.000.
