The brutal Iso A3C from Speed 8 Classics
There were built about 28 copies of the Iso A3C where the “C” stands for Corsa or Competizione, ie; ready to make the circuits unsafe. Five copies are equipped with a fiberglass body which was manufactured by Piero Drogo of Carrozzeria Sports Cars in Modena. Most A3C’s were used in racing including; 1964 and 1965 Le Mans 24-hours, 1965 Nurburgring 1000 and 1965 Sebring. They finished even as class winner at Le Mans and became 9th overall without the support of the factory team. These cars were bloody fast for their time, thanks to the reliable American V8 engine that delivered over 400hp.
This copy is part of the collection of Speed 8 Classics and is such a specimen with plastic body. The fact this car looks battered by its racing history, while the technology has been completely restored, makes it an into irresistible offer. Want to know how brutal this car sounds brutal?
